When Bad Things Happen To Good Food...

I dropped an egg on the floor. I felt sad that this should happen to the egg.

Sitting in the cramped cabin of the space capsule, Apollo 14 astronaut, Edgar Mitchell saw planet Earth floating freely in the vastness of space. He was engulfed by a profound sense of universal connectedness—an epiphany. In Mitchell's own words: "The presence of divinity became almost palpable, and I knew that life in the universe was not just an accident based on random processes. . . . The knowledge came to me directly."

Only the Powerful, Brilliant, Gorgeous, Talented, & Fabulous Need Apply...

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

The day I painted this picture, I was sitting on the southeast corner of the street in a coffee shop looking across to the northwest corner. A protest was forming outside, and more and more people started to congregate. Eventually I could not see across the street to finish my painting.
The day I painted this picture it was very hot and so I had to hold my umbrella up with one hand and draw with the other.

Cat In House

This is someone who lives with me.
This is a still life of some pots I had made in Ceramics Class and some other things I had around the house.

Dance Academy

Heritage Hall. The day that I painted this painting, many people came by to chat with me. Painting outside is like being a busker, people want to talk to you and look at what you are doing. I like it, but when I am sitting on a little chair and they are standing over me, sometimes they have a tendency to spit on me when they talk. The thought, "Say it, don't spray it" comes to mind.
